Babies have a more difficult time regulating their body temperatures than adults do. I usually test the water with my hand. It needs to be warm about 90 degrees F (32 degrees C), not hot. Never above 98 degrees, as that could cause the child's body temperature to rise. You also need to have the bathroom warmer than would be comfortable for you, around 70 to 72 degrees. What is the right temperature for babies bath water and room temperature in Fahrenheit degrees?
I was told nothing over 120 degrees. I keep my daugthers bath water around 95.
I dont know anything about Fahrenheit temperature, but a good rule is: if you can hold your elbow in the water and it feels comfortable, it is allright. The room temperature should be a little warmer than you think is comfortable....dont go around with a thermometer - it will drive you crazy - think of what our grandmothers would have done....mine used the elbow method....none of her 8 children were scalded!!!
