Tiling bath room?

when tiling a bathroom,is it good practice to start from the bath to minimise cuts ?or start from floor and cut the tiles round the bath?Tiling bath room?
start from the bath in the corner that is most noticeable and work away from there, full size tiles around the edge of the bath,it will look the mutts.level off the bath go from there, skirting wont be straight i suspect.Tiling bath room?
Find your high spot 1 st.. I assume your doing a tub..Doing back wall 1 st and side cuts into the back wall. On back wall start in the middle and work to the sides unless your less than 1/2 a tile then shift the center of the tile to the center to get the biggest cut poss on both sides GL Hoping your going over a cement board and not green board or plain dry wall
personally i'd start from the ground so i could ensure every tile is straight
Yes, I agree with Dunno, the bathroom will look a lot better if you do it that way.
always start from the floor so that your tiles are level .
It wouldnt be wright to advise you on either way, but to advise ou on both ways would be better so you can makeyour own mind up. These are the things i think about when tiling a b'room.

1. If tiling a full tile off the bath, does this give me the right height for a sink splasback.

2. does a full tile off the bath give you a really small ugly cut at the skirting or ceiling.

3. A full tile off the bath may increase cuts in the rest of the room.

4. If the bath is level from corner to corner it doesn't mean that the bath is staight from corner to corner.

If im not happy about the level and straightness of the bath i usually take 10-15mm of the tile sitting on the bath, this allows me some room for error and looks like a full tile anyway.

Try to look at the room an think what would look best, e.g a high or low splasback will look ridiculous aswell as tiny cut along the skirting, but half a tile around the bath would be acceptable if there is a compromise to be had.
