The going rate in your area - you might be able to get a ball park figure by seeing what houses sell for - subtract the land cost and there you go. You can do that on Zillow.com. As house prices go up so does the inflated price for everything else. In a starving economy people are more willing to cut deeper into their profit. You could also call a contractor and ask for a ball park figure, but remember the more custom you go the higher the price. A rectangle is the cheapest shape - the more corners you have the higher the cost. The more light fixtures / recessed lights etc. The better the bathroom fixtures. All increase the cost.
