The tile is dark brown with raised circles and it always looks whitish or dusty in the grooves of the circles. Will a tile sealer help thisI have older ceramic tile in my bath room .how do i renew its looks?
Three years ago I had to replace and clean my in-laws kitchen. I found a cleaner or maybe it was a polisher just for ceramics at Home Depot just for cleaning. It really worked well. You might also try a paste of baking soda and water- just scrub it lightly and wipe off residue. You will probably have to rinse a few times to remove all the soda. Also, try white vinegar mixed with water- scrub and rinse.I have older ceramic tile in my bath room .how do i renew its looks?
Try car wash and wax it works great on the tiles. Plus it offers some protection from restaining, making cleaning easier next time.
If the grout is a problem, apply some whitening toothpaste to an old toothbrush, to give the grout a nice white smile. Rinse with warm water. ( Make sure you use a white colored toothpaste, you don't want blue or red stained grout.)
You need something to clean away the 'whiteish' stains. Try lime-away or better yet, muratic acid. Be carefull with the acid to not breath the fumes. Spray it and run. Then come back and rinse.
