$20,000 for each bathroom, another $25,000 for each kitchen, plus another $5,000 for each of the other rooms. That's my guess. Let us know how it goes.Anyone know roughly the cost of renovating a 30 room, 10 bath, three story Victorian in Alameda, California?
If you assume that it will be around $1,000,000.00 you'll probably have everything covered.
It's a ';no quote'; situation.
It will depend on the extent of renovation you plan to undertake. Bringing a building of that size (I'll bet it is a gorgeous!) up to 2007 code can present a formidable exercise.
You'd do well by spending the money for a survey. Once you have a clue, get prices per square foot for remodels in the Alemeda area. That's the 'high rent' district (former Bay Area resident) so don't expect a nice surprise, but if the building is worth it, your cost will amortize at some point!
Good luck. I'd like to come see it someday. I lived in Pacifica for 30+ years, back in the ';day';.
Best guess? Lots %26amp; lots, arms %26amp; legs and then some! A home of this size is massive and a renovation will be a massive, expensive undertaking. However, since California real estate is climbing every day in price, you would have an interesting challenge that might net you a fortune. It could be a bed and breakfast, apartments, home for the citizenry of a small country or just the thing for some California person who buys huge property only to live in it with 8 dogs and 5 servants!!! Good luck.
