Pour baking soda 1/2 cup and vinegar right after let bubble up and sit for 5-10 min. Be sure and rinse thoroughly or soda will harden and block drain. It will eventually loosen if this happens but avoid the problem by running water a few minutes.

My trick is to fill the drain with baking soda. Allow it to sit for at least an hour to absorb the odors and then flush it down with white vinegar. When the vinegar touches the soda, it will foam ALOT. the bubbling action helps break up the gunk that collects inside the pipes. It will not harm the pipes and it is not harmful to breathe. You can repeat it as many times as you need to.
Pour bleach down the drain at night before you go to bed and let it sit in the drain. When you get up in the morning, turn on the hot water and let it run for about a minute. Try doing this on a regular basis. It should take care of any odors coming from the drain outlet.
