How old do your baby have to be win you training your baby to go to the bath room?

Each child is different, but most experts say between the age of 2-3 years. Your son/daughter will let you know when he/she is ready, just look for the signs. How old do your baby have to be win you training your baby to go to the bath room?
I really believe that it is and individual thing, my 19 yr old was 3 but when I started to train him he never wet or pooped himself. My 8 yr old son was 11 months old when I started to train him and it took him about 7 months before he got it, I think I started to soon. How old do your baby have to be win you training your baby to go to the bath room?
By most pedeatricians standards they are not considered delayed in the potty traing area until 4 yrs old. I they are not using the potty completely on there own by then there maybe other issues to deal with. Basically from the time they can walk to 4 yrs old is a good time to try. If at first you don't succeed wait a couple of weeks and give it another go. Just don't push, then they will think the potty is bad... good luck
I started putting my baby girl on the potty at 4 months. She went almost every time I set her on it, and I talked to her, sang little songs to her, and she rarely resists sitting down. If she stiffens her back or tries to get off the potty, I don't push it, just go put her diaper back on. My mom raised seven of us and we were all trained early, which makes it so much easier. My baby is 10 months now, and she is still in diapers, but has rarely had a dirty diaper because I see her straining face and rush her to the potty. It is much easier to put her on the potty than have to clean up a dirty diaper mess. This kind of early training takes time (I put her on the potty when she wakes up from naps or every hour or so) but it will pay off when she can say ';potty, mama'; and is wearing big girl panties soon! I understand a lot of moms don't have time, or aren't with their child 24-7 like I am, so I don't blame others---this is just how I wanted to do it.
Sorry every child is different some catch on sooner than others. my first was19 months my second was 3 and my third was 3 1/2. They are all boys!!! Start taking them with you in the bathroom so they can see what's going on in there they will catch on.
