going to add shower/vatity/comode and tie to 3'; drain which has two bath's for three bedroom house.Whait size pvc pipe do i need to install bath room in basement?

Are you using copper anywhere or PVC'ing everything? If yes for everyhing make sure you buy SCH 40 PVC pipe. 3/4 for water lines, 2'; for the vanity and shower drains. The vanity will have the trap kit and it may be a different size but you just have to buy an adaptor like 1 3/4 on one side and 2'; on the other. Any hardware store will help you.


and use a 3'; pipe for the comode. also needs to have a trap installed otherwise the sewer gasses will come back up. any more questions just send me an e-mail, i'd be glad to help where i can.

Trap everything that drains.
You don't need to trap the toilet. it comes with its own trap built in.
