They are suppose to open towards you not away from you.Is a bifolding door of a bath room suppposed to be opened inwards into the room or outwards?
Since bi-fold doors are rarely used as entry doors, there is no right or wrong way to install it. In the end, the choice is yours. I suppose the determining factor for me would be which way the folded door would protrude when in an open position. Decide for yourself and install accordingly.

they are designed to pull into the room, usually there isn't enough space to swing a door into a closet
If I read your question correctly this is the entry to the bathroom. Then I would have it open away from the bathroom. Bi fold doors are made so the handle is in the center of door and you pull on it to open the door.
